Hopefully Launchpad/Rosetta will adopt ISO 639-3 (as Wikimedia already has) when it’s out of draft, because sticking with the relatively few languages listed in ISO 639-1/2 is not very “2.0″, there being many more languages in the world that an online presence.

Yea, multi-user support would be da bomb. Why if you did that, you’d totally be ready for TWD. Totally. TWD.

I’d love to see a multi-user implementation of this - I’d personally donate $100 to get hold of that software, I know it’s not much individually, but as RSS gets used in the workplace more, I bet a load of other people would pay/donate ‘commercial’ rates as well to get hold of a robust aggregator for internal feeds…

Multi-user support would be awesome, as would more control over cleaning up old items (by category/feed for example, or currently when you delete the feed first it keeps counting the old items), and some features I’ve never been able to get working on my server, like the auto tag plugins, but it’s still my fave reader by far and I’m happy to see it being actively developed. Thanks. :)

Ah, I’m sadly on ye olde Windows XP so I can’t make much use of that application. :(

Well I’m glad you think it’s a good idea, and even if it’s not something that can be implemented in the close future, I hope you will try to push for it in the more distant future.

It’d be a killer thing to bundle with the software in my opinion, and take it to a whole new level of popularity as an all-in-one RSS reader (as long as you have a hosting account). :)

excellent idea! Unfortunately I no longer code for win32, so I can’t really help there, but I think it should be rather easy to do in C# or any other .NET dialect.

On a sidenote, here is an OS X application that does more or less exactly what you suggested!

One thing I’d really love to see is some kind of optional lightweight desktop utility that works in conjunction with Gregarius, kind of like what Bloglines has. The general idea would be that it sits in the system tray periodically checking your Gregarius installation (user-defined interval) for new items, and then displays a “new items” icon if it finds any. The user could then either click on the icon to load up their Gregarius page or go there manually.

Of course Gregarius requires manual updating at the moment, so perhaps some kind of basic feed updating mechanism could also be built into this application for those who lack the ability to run cron jobs and such (if this is even possible with Gregarius).

Sounds good to me, anyway! :)
